Biography

Wren Leduc Bruyere

I was born in a small town near Ottawa Canada and grew up in Gatineau. All my studies have been in the province of Quebec. For higher education, I went to cegep de l'outaouais (Gatineau) in cinema and then I went to CNDF (Québec City) in the program music composition and sound design. I graduated from the latter in 2023. Now, I would be described as a neoclassical music composer and a sound designer.

Since I can remember, I have been interested in music, whether it was performing or writing. It is not until high school that I became truly invested in learning music. I took guitar lessons with the school, cello lessons with a tutor, learned the piano by myself as well as master multiple other instruments with the school bands such as the bass and the drums. I wrote a few songs with lyrics in high school and, when I started at CNDF, I fell in love with writing neoclassical pieces.

As for the sound design, when I was attending the cegep de l’outaouais, I was the sound engineer on set and in postproduction. Around the same time, I began to game more than just Minecraft and that is when I found it interesting to create the sounds of the game. I enjoyed the immersion it would create as well as making everything more realistic.
